Home workout with no equipment: a 25-minute routine

Strength, floor work and progression. For a small living room, not a 7-day six-pack ad.

You do not need a rack to feel less wrecked. You need 25 minutes, a floor that is not glass, and progression: more reps, less rest or a harder variant. This is a full-body routine three days a week.

The block

Squats (or sit-to-stand if you are starting), push-ups (knees if needed), glute bridge, plank, lunges or reverse step, and 60 seconds of “cardio”: jumping jacks or the stairwell. 3 rounds. Rest 60–90 s.

Progression without dumbbells

Incline push-up → regular → decline. Squat → pause at the bottom → assisted pistol. 20 s plank → 45 s. If a week feels just as easy, you are repeating a warm-up.

Pain versus signal

Muscle burn is fine. Joint or rising back pain: stop. A 30-second influencer clip does not know your knee. Coming back from injury, a physio beats any PDF.

Habits that keep it alive

Same hour, same playlist, water in reach. Do not wait for motivation. Wait for the calendar. Pair it with better sleep and the morning routine: a 23:30 session usually dies in January.

FlexChar does not sell shakes. This page ranks because people search “home gym” every January and every Monday. We update when a progression runs out, not when a new mat drops.

Frequently asked questions

Is this enough to lose fat?

It helps. The deficit is on the plate. Train to get strong; eat for the goal.

Every day?

Three full-body days. Walk the rest. Muscle grows when you stop, not when you punish yourself.
